Workouts for the Busy Woman

Fitness is so important to me. I love to challenge my body and my mind. Exercise is my ultimate stress reliever and creative stimulant. I have loved to run since college, but in the past few years I really wanted to introduce some new exercises. I have thoroughly explored the internet to find workouts that I can do at home in between emails, designs and meetings. I am by no means a fitness expert, but these are the workouts that I would recommend to my friends and family.

Youtube is a great source for finding a quick, guided workout. After a lot of trial-and-error, I have found a selection of workouts that I find stimulating and challenging.

Tracy Anderson: Tracy Anderson is a high-end celebrity trainer for stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Lena Dunham. The average person cannot afford her, but she has a plethora of great youtube videos. Here are some of my favorites!

 

 

 

Fitness Blender: My husband actually found this amazing resource. Fitness blender offers a large variety of HIIT (high intensity interval training). Whether you have 30 minutes or 1.5 hours, they have a video that will make you sweat. Here are some of my favorites:

 

 



Kayla Itsines: My latest workout obsession has been Kayla Itsines. Her 24-week Bikini Body Guide, has transformed my body. I feel the strongest I have ever felt. I have never had such incredible results from any workout. No joke, I went from not being able to do 1 push up, to being able to do 20 in a row. The workout is composed of exercises you probably know. However, Kayla puts them in an easy-to-follow manual that pushes you harder than you would normally push yourself. Outside of the above workouts, I love to run and take long walks with our dog, Zulu. My husband is quite the outdoorsman and has gotten me into kayaking and hiking. Even on vacations, I am always that girl who is going for a run or doing a quick youtube video. No matter how busy your schedule is I think it is so important to take some time for yourself, to push your body and mind. I am always on the lookout for new exercises.
