Restaurant Branding + Menu Design Inspiration06.13.2017

As graphic designers we always take notice of a restaurant’s menu design and branding. Especially after designing the menus for DTB Nola, we are noticing menu design inspo everywhere. Here are some of our favorites around Houston and other places we’ve visited recently. We will keep these on the backburner for inspiration for our future restaurant clients!

State of Grace

One of our new favorite restaurants in Houston, State of Grace, did an amazing job with their menu. We love the border at the top, and the font they chose for the header of each section. The best part? They incorporated their branding onto koozies that they give out at the bar.

Everytime we go to Nola we have to stop at Domenica. The branding and design here is just as good as the pizza! Everything from the warm color palate to the block letter font choice creates and clean and cohesive brand image.

Shake Shack

Finally Houston got a Shake Shack. Ever since the burger company expanded from their original NYC location, their branding has been on point. We are loving the use of the green and the sans serif font on the signage.

We read about the original location of Eggslut in LA and loved the name and concept. Houston doesn’t exactly have a huge breakfast sandwich culture, it’s all tacos here, so we never got to try Egglust until we realized they opened a location at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. The massive breakfast sandwiches and runny eggs live up to the name, and we couldn’t help but love their branding and packaging.
